Service Mechanic Trucks

In the Service Department, maintenance and repair work is carried out on bulk trucks, as well as damage repairs and major overhauls. As a Service Employee, you will be broadly employed to repair and assemble mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components. You will also occasionally carry out welding work. The assignments are very diverse, so independence, problem-solving skills and experience are important qualities you will need in this position.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Independently and correctly performing various service-related tasks. Carrying out tasks based on work orders and partly at your own discretion due to great diversity;
• Registering materials used and hours worked for work orders;
• Showing initiative and where necessary consulting with the Team Leader or Engineering about possible improvements regarding production, assembly, drawings, description or parts;
• Adhere to safety, environmental and Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed;
• Keep workplace and tools tidy and clean to promote quality, safety and efficiency.

• You have completed a technical education, such as EBAT, MBO Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering;
• Welding (MIG/MAG) is a good basis, you will learn aluminium welding at customer sites if required;
• You have experience with vehicle electronics;
• Preferably, you have experience reading schematics and technical drawings;
• You have an enthusiastic, practical and flexible attitude, accuracy and above all a passion for technology;
• You enjoy working in a team and have a good command of the Dutch language.
