As supervisor of the cross-dock department, you ensure that everything in the operation runs smoothly. You are responsible for a team of 8 to 10 colleagues and divide your time between 25% cooperation and 75% steering. With your leadership, you ensure that pallets of foodstuffs are processed and loaded neatly, quickly and according to customer requirements.

What are you going to do?
In your role, you will be the main point of contact on the floor and you will combine collaborating with steering. You will spend most of your time planning, organising and supervising the operation, while occasionally actively helping to keep in touch with the process.
- Managing and motivating a team of 8-10 colleagues;
- Supervising and induction of (new) employees;
- Planning, organising and delegating work;
- Maintaining close contact with the assistant planning to coordinate unloading and loading processes;
- Quickly responding to unexpected situations;
- Monitoring progress and quality of work;
- Working in a 3-shift operation (06:00-15:00, 15:00-24:00 and 21:30-06:00).
During the night shift, you will start on Sunday evening and have the weekend by Friday morning!
Who are you?
You are a natural leader who knows how to get a team on board and keep them motivated. You are also flexible and know how to maintain overview and calm under pressure.
- Minimum MBO+ working and thinking level;
- 1-3 years' work experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial position;
- Experience and/or knowledge of logistics is an advantage;
- Management skills with an eye for people and results;
- Flexible and collegial attitude;
- Good communication and social skills.
