Technical buyer

As a Technical Purchaser, you will work closely with various stakeholders and actively contribute to improving processes, costs and performance.

What will you do?

• You will support (international) procurement processes and ensure that these are properly implemented locally according to the right strategies and supplier lists;
• You think along about (sub)category strategies and translate these into concrete actions in practice;
• You organise and supervise tenders and requests, and conduct (or support) negotiations with suppliers;
• You analyse costs and price developments and spot opportunities for smarter and more advantageous procurement;
• You advise colleagues on the best purchasing choices and actively think along with them about how demand and specifications can be smarter;
• You ensure that suppliers are properly involved in projects and that targets around quality, logistics, technology and costs are met;
• You manage and develop relationships with suppliers and ensure clear agreements and cooperation;
• You monitor supplier performance and adjust where necessary;
• You coordinate with internal teams (such as procurement, logistics and quality) to ensure processes run smoothly;
• You record results, such as savings and improvements achieved

• You have several years of experience in a technical procurement role within an international environment;
• You have HBO work and thinking level, preferably in a technical, business or supply chain direction;
• You have demonstrable negotiating experience: you know how to close strong deals and make sustainable agreements with suppliers;
• You have experience working in multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating effectively with colleagues from engineering, supply chain and operations, among others
• You have strong communication skills: you interact easily with different stakeholders, both internally and externally;
• Analytical ability: you are able to interpret data and convert it into concrete improvement actions;
• A proactive, results-oriented and structured way of working;
• You are flexible, cope well with change and continue to perform under pressure;
• You have a good command of the English language, both orally and in writing
