Structural metalworker and MIG-MAG welder
Are you technically minded, do you enjoy working with steel, and do you have experience in MIG/MAG welding? Do you enjoy building strong structures for use in the agricultural sector? Then this role is for you. We’re looking for a Structural Fitter/Welder for a well-established family-run business in the Achterhoek who enjoys getting stuck in and delivering high-quality work.
What are you going to do?
As a Structural Fitter/Welder, you will work on various bespoke structures for the agricultural sector. Your tasks will include making components for barn fittings, milking parlours, feeding systems, frames and fencing. You will ensure that every structure is assembled according to the drawings, securely welded and neatly finished.
Your duties will include:
- Assembling and welding various steel structures based on technical drawings;
- Carrying out MIG/MAG welding work;
- Cutting, drilling, straightening and machining steel and other materials;
- Checking dimensions, quality and welded joints;
- Consulting with colleagues in the assembly team regarding correct connections and fits;
- Identifying areas for improvement and contributing ideas to ensure an efficient production process.
Who are you?
You have a technical mind, enjoy working with your hands and derive satisfaction from creating high-quality structures. You also have an interest in engineering within the agricultural sector and bring the following to the role:
- A completed technical qualification, for example in metalwork, construction or mechanical engineering;
- Experience with MIG/MAG welding;
- Good skills in reading and applying technical drawings;
- A meticulous, practical and solution-oriented approach to work;
- An affinity with agricultural technology;
- Enjoy working as part of a committed and supportive team;
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
