What are you going to do?

As Head of the Business Office, you are ultimately responsible for the entire preliminary process of production projects. You ensure that everything is right before it reaches the shop floor. You will connect departments, streamline processes and raise the business office to a higher level.

  • You manage the business office (engineers, planners and calculators) and ensure a strong, well-cooperating team;
  • You monitor and optimise the entire process from request to production preparation;
  • You manage manufacturability (DFMA) and cost efficiency in engineering and co-engineering processes;
  • You ensure clear work preparation, planning, material requirements and work instructions;
  • You are the link between sales, engineering and production and keep everyone on the same page;
  • You maintain active contact with customers and act as a sparring partner at technical and process level;
  • You support sales with offers and tenders with technical input and cost calculations;
  • You identify commercial opportunities and translate customer requests into concrete solutions within the organisation
  • You initiate and implement improvement projects, for example in the field of ERP systems and process optimisation

Who are you?

You are someone who is not only technically strong, but also energised by steering, improving and connecting. You keep an overview, switch quickly and know how to take people along with you in change.

  • You have a completed HBO education in mechanical engineering, technical business administration or similar;
  • You have 5-10 years' experience in a management role within sheet-metal working, machine construction or fine mechanics;
  • You have extensive knowledge of sheet-metal working techniques such as laser cutting, setting, punching and welding;
  • You are familiar with CAD/CAM software and ERP systems;
  • You are a coaching leader who knows how to motivate and develop teams;
  • You are analytically strong and think in terms of solutions and improvements;
  • You communicate easily at various levels, from shop floor to management
