Machine Woodworker

As a Machine Woodworker, you ensure that the wood is machined accurately and is ready for the next stage of production. You work to schedule, set up machines correctly and monitor the quality of the end product.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing and setting up woodworking machines;
• Operating machines and carrying out various woodworking tasks;
• Cutting, planing and milling timber;
• Reading and following technical drawings and production instructions;
• Checking dimensions and quality;
• Working in accordance with the applicable health and safety regulations;
• Coordinating tasks with colleagues and the team leader.
• You’ll be working in a close-knit team where collaboration and quality are key. Do you have a question or are you facing a problem? There’s always a colleague or team leader on hand to help you find a solution.

You’re a go-getter who enjoys working with your hands and finds satisfaction in a great end result. You work meticulously, have technical insight and are open to further developing your skills.

• Have technical insight; experience as a machine woodworker is an advantage;
• Enjoy working with wood and modern machinery;
• Are keen to learn and want to continue developing your skills;
• Work with precision and have an eye for quality;
• Can work both independently and as part of a team;

• Are reliable and honour your commitments.
