Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing the results of your work straight away at the end of the day? As a Glazing Fitter for Window Frames, you’ll ensure that windows in wooden frames are finished to a high standard with precision and care. You’ll be working in the final stage of the production process, playing a key role in the quality of the end product.
Together with your colleagues, you’ll ensure that every window frame is finished neatly, accurately and in accordance with the applicable quality standards. The work is well-structured and varied, and thanks to a thorough induction period, you’ll learn the tasks step by step on the job.
What are you going to do?
As a Window Glazier, you will be responsible for the final finishing of glass panes in wooden window frames. You will work with precision, adhere to the schedule and ensure that every window frame is delivered neatly and in accordance with the specified quality standards.
Your duties will include:
- Applying sealant around fitted windows;
- Carefully and neatly finishing sealant joints;
- Checking the positioning, alignment and finish of the glass;
- Identifying any deviations and rectifying them where necessary;
- Working in accordance with the applicable health and safety and quality regulations.
Who are you?
As a Window Frame Glazier, you’ll be practical, work meticulously and have an eye for a neat finish. Experience is an advantage, but above all, your motivation and willingness to learn the trade are what matter most.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys hands-on work and working with their hands;
- Is keen to learn the trade of glazing fitter on the job;
- Works meticulously and values quality;
- Can work effectively both independently and alongside colleagues;
- Preferably has experience with window frames, glasswork or similar tasks, although this is not a requirement.
