What does a carpenter do?

As a carpenter, you work on the building site or in the workshop on a variety of carpentry tasks. You read drawings, measure everything carefully, process wood and assemble parts on site. What do you need as a carpenter?

As a carpenter, you work physically active, accurately and according to technical drawings. You have a strong sense of responsibility and know how to work safely on the building site. Experience is nice, but you are also welcome as an apprentice.

Skills and requirements:

MBO education in carpentry or construction engineering (level 2 or 3)
Technical insight and experience with measuring and reading drawings
Dexterity with (electrical) tools and woodworking
In possession of a VCA certificate or willing to obtain one
Driving licence B is often an advantage
Independent, accurate and collegial working attitude

No diploma or experience yet, but motivated? Via Euro Planit, you can start as an assistant or student carpenter and learn the trade in practice, possibly via a BBL route.
