What does a mechanical engineer do?

How do you become a mechanical engineer?
To start work as a mechanical engineer, you usually need a college or university degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
In addition, the following skills are important:
- Good command of 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks or Inventor)
- Analytical ability and problem-solving thinking
- Insight into materials science, strength theory and mechanics
- Independence and good communication skills
- Experience with project-based work is an advantage
