What does an all-round logistics assistant do?
As an all-round logistics employee, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the warehouse or distribution centre. You receive goods, check deliveries, manage stock, pick orders and ensure that everything runs neatly and safely. You can work independently, but also interact well with colleagues, team leaders and drivers.

Typical duties:
- Receiving, checking and recording incoming goods
- Storing materials and products at the right location
- Order picking using lists, scanners or voice-picking
- Packing and preparing orders for shipment
- Loading and unloading trucks (manually or with EPT/fork truck)
- Managing stock and carrying out periodic inventories
- Ensuring order, tidiness and safety in the warehouse
- Working with warehouse management systems (WMS)
In some positions, you will also work with transport equipment such as a forklift truck, reach truck or electric pallet truck (EPT). Euro Planit will help you obtain the right certificates if you do not already have them.

What do you need to become an all-round logistics assistant?
An all-round logistics employee is versatile, accurate and physically fit. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, can switch well between different tasks and have a practical attitude.
Desired skills and requirements:
- MBO work and thinking level, preferably towards logistics or engineering
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus
- In possession of a forklift and/or reach truck certificate or willing to obtain one
- Good command of the Dutch language
- Physically fit and able to do standing and walking work
- Accuracy and sense of responsibility
- Independent and able to work well together
No experience yet? No problem. With some employers, you can be trained internally as an all-round logistics employee.
