What are you going to do?
In this role, you will combine leadership with working on the floor. About 50% of your time is spent directing, instructing and supervising your team. The other 50% is spent rolling up your sleeves and working in the process. This way, you stay in touch with the operation and set a good example.
Your daily tasks include
- Together with the supervisor, managing 30 to 40 colleagues in the warehouse;
- Instructing, coaching and supervising (new) employees;
- Working on the floor and actively contributing to the picking and loading of customer orders;
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks on the shop floor;
- Monitoring delivery performance towards customers;
- Administrative tasks such as time registration and planning;
- Replacing the supervisor in his absence;
- Working in 2 shifts (06:00-15:00 and 15:00-24:00).
Who are you?
You are a natural leader who enjoys guiding colleagues, but who is also not too shy to cooperate yourself. You know how to motivate a team and make sure the job always gets done.
- Minimum MBO+ working and thinking level;
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 1 year in an (assisting) managerial role;
- Experience and/or affinity with logistics and warehouse processes;
- Leadership skills and a proactive work attitude;
- Flexible, collegial and results-oriented;
- Strong communication and social skills.
