What are you going to do?

What will you do? As account manager, your main tasks are to maintain and expand the cooperation with existing relations and to identify new opportunities through acquisition in order to increase turnover. Your working area is the Netherlands with an emphasis on Achterhoek / Eastern Netherlands. You advise the customer with the aim of generating better turnover together. Another important task is managing customer expectations and wishes in such a way that customer satisfaction and loyalty increase even more.

As Account Manager, you are the commercial lynchpin between this high-quality metal company and the OEM customers in the Netherlands. You know exactly what is going on in the market, maintain strong relationships and use your technical knowledge to convert customer requests into smart solutions.

Your duties :

  • Manage and expand your customer portfolio in the OEM market;
  • Build lasting relationships with engineers, buyers and decision makers;
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and translating them into concrete orders;
  • Realising sales objectives and targets;
  • Drawing up customised quotations and supervising the sales process from A to Z
  • You will work with automated calculation and quotation management systems;
  • Cooperation with colleagues from engineering, calculation and production
  • Reporting sales developments and market insights to management

Who are you?

In addition, you possess:

  • You have at least 3 years' experience in B2B sales, preferably in the metal industry;
  • You have experience with direct sales to OEMs;
  • You have experience with automated calculation and quotation management systems;
  • You have a completed MBO+ /HBO education, preferably in a technical field.
  • You can quickly grasp technical issues and advise customers
  • You are familiar with steel, stainless steel, aluminium and/or sheet metal (preferred)
  • You have an HBO working and thinking level, preferably in a technical direction
  • You have a driving licence and are willing to visit customers throughout the country
  • You have the ambition to grow into a sales management role and become a member of the Management Team
  • You are a sparring partner for formulating strategy and policy
  • You report directly to the Managing Director
