What are you going to do?
As Co-operating Foreman, you are the key person in the steel/car body shop. Not only do you supervise the work, you also ensure that your colleagues can get on with it. That means: preparing materials on time, planning work logically, making sure there is no downtime. You are point of contact, controller and colleague at the same time.
In concrete terms:
- You keep employees working by smart planning and good coordination;
- You ensure that materials are available on time and in the right place;
- You monitor the flow of trailers and trucks in the workshop;
- You participate in construction and welding work (mainly MIG/MAG);
- You manage a team and distribute work based on capacity and priority;
- You check finished products and ensure quality in every step of the process;
- You keep a sharp eye on safety, order and cleanliness.
Who are you?
- You have experience in metalworking, bodywork or construction work;
- You can read technical drawings and work accurately;
- You have experience with MIG/MAG welding (or are willing to pick it up);
- You are a good organiser and know how to supervise colleagues;
- You are available from Monday to Friday during regular daytime shifts.
